What's the difference between the Outbox and Sentbox for emails?

I have 2 different emails in each|||Hey isuckatphysics,





It would be helpful to know what email client you're using, but most likely your "Outbox" is items that are supposed to be sent, but haven't been yet (maybe your computer can't connect or authenticate to that email server), where your sentbox contains the emails that have already been sent.
