What tips would you give someone with short arms, to outbox an opponent with a longer reach?

Cover up, use head movement to avoid the punches. Work your footwork. Punish the body. If you can angle them into a corner, you can move in and punish them. Stay active and crowd them. This will take a fair bit of gas.|||Use your feet they are longer then someones arms, but stay in close enough where you could reach him with your kick, but he is to far to punch, and to close to kick. You have to learn to set fighting distance for your body type.|||well you gotta bob in and hit him and bob out. lots of blitzing too it shoudl really help cause thats what ur gonna be better at|||get in and get out, or get in close and clinch and dirty box from the clinch.|||First off, I wouldn't advise kicking someone in a boxing match.

You need to use superior footwork, angles, get in and out quickly. Staying on the inside and firing off some dirty boxing is also a good idea. Just make sure you don't get picked off from range. You really have to take it to them.|||hooks, elbows, knees, and uppercuts.

slip, bob, and weave inside his kitchen and show him how to fell pain.

the guy who said hit and run doesn't know what hes talking about. thats what the guy with reach would be trying to do, because if he stops moving your inside and he can't hit you as effectively.|||get in close...dirty boxing...uppercuts, short jabs...

use kicks but very cautiously..don't wanna get caught...|||ask this in the boxing thread so you get more results from people who do that|||I'm short and stout. I have always liked to get in close to a tall or opponent with a long reach. I find most of the time they are used to taking advantage of their size and their in close fight is not that great. I have on occasion found this to be a mistake when the opponent has a good in close game.
